By Medicine Hat News on April 27, 2019.

The Hat High Mohawks Tier 2 squad picked up three consecutive five-inning victories over the Notre Dame Hounds in exhibition high school baseball play with 13-3 and 17-3 wins Thursday and a 7-6 victory Friday.

Starting pitcher Aidan Nelson held Notre Dame to one run on three hits through two innings to lead the Mohawks in a commanding win to open Tuesday evening.

Jeff Bullock led the Mohawks with 2 RBI in a 1-for-1 outing. Declan Foshaug posted 2 RBI despite being held without a hit and Payton Eddy added another while going 1-for-1 at the dish.

Eddy took the hill for the second game and went the distance, limiting the Hounds to three runs on three hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in four solid innings of work.

Eddy chipped in offensively as well, with 2 RBI in a 2-for-3 outing, while Trevin Ressler added 2 RBI and 3 runs in his own 2-for-3 effort and Stone Davis had 3 RBI in a 1-for-2 performance.

The Hounds came back with a stronger effort Thursday, but Hat High managed to keep them at bay yet again in a tight 7-6 battle.

Dylan Lefler collected the victory after holding Notre Dame to five runs — three earned – on five hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts through three frames.

Nelson picked up Hat High’s lone RBI in a 1-for-2 performance.
