The South East Athletic Club Tigers closed the book on a strong season with an awards banquet Tuesday for both the bantam AAA squad and the midget 15s. Tyler Broesky left with MVP honors for the bantams and Hayden Prosofsky took the title on the midget side. Tyler Miller was named the bantam Tigers’ top defenceman, while Shane Smith earned the title of top forward and Josh Drefs took the most dedicated award. The bantam Tigers finished the regular season with a 13-15-5 record before sweeping the Okotoks Oilers in two games then falling to the Red Deer Rebels in the division finals. Tanner Gold took top defenceman honours for the midget Tigers, while Ethan Machan was named top forward, Carsyn Good won most dedicated and Vaughn Strutt earned the Riley Martin Award. The midget 15s advanced to the Sutter Cup after ending their regular season with a 16-11-7 record, where they finished their season with a 1-2 record in Pool B. 6
