Health foundation hosting a whacky fundraiser called the Dare to Be There Gala

By Medicine Hat News on March 21, 2019.

The Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation is holding its inaugural Dare to Be There Gala.

The event takes place April 6 from 7-11 p.m. at Beveridge Landmark Events.

Its goal is to raise money for an emergency room expansion at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and for the guests to partake in fun activities.

“Dare your friends to take part in some outrageously funny games … watermelon bowling, pin the goggles on the doctor … bed pan corks … and everyone’s favourite … laundry rummage … win fun prizes along the way,” reads a news release from the health foundation.

There will be drinks and hors d’oeuvres served throughout the evening, along with entertainment by magician Trevor Moore and musician Jesse Dollimont, as well as live and silent auctions.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased at http://www.myhealthfoundation.ca, the foundation’s Facebook page or by phone at 403-528-8133.
