mcranker@medicinehatnews.com@MHNmocranker The Medicine Hat Paddling Club is holding its annual Paddling Film Festival on Tuesday at the Medicine Hat Public Library’s theatre. “This is our fourth annual Paddling Film Festival World Tour,” said club president Rick Redmond. “This is being hosted at the Medicine Hat Public Library and tickets are on sale across the city. “We’re excited for this and we’re expecting to sell out the tickets again this year.” The event begins at 7 p.m. but Redmond encourages people to get to the theatre early to grab a good seat. Tickets can be found at the library, Valhalla Pure downtown, Mike’s Meats, the Boarding House and Tourism Medicine Hat. “We’ve been doing this for four years now and it’s a really fun event,” said Redmond. “Tickets are moving very fast and we’ve sold out every other year, so we expect that again this year.” Redmond says there’s a wide variety of films at this year’s festival. “It’s a wonderful selection,” he said. “Films from India, Australia, northern Ontario, Montana and more – it’s a wonderful evening of films.” Tickets to the event, which is being held by the paddling club and Carefree Adventures, are $12 in advance and $15 if there’s any left at the door. 11
