Two arrested following break-in

Redcliff RCMP say that arrests made following a report of a break-in overnight on Friday has led to the recovery of stolen copper wire and a motorcycle.

Mounties say that two suspects fled when they responded to the call in the town’s light industrial area at 2:15 a.m. on March 9. Eventually Medicine Hat Police stopped a suspect vehicle and arrested two men.

A search warrant executed later in the day led to the seizure of 150 pounds of copper wire, a motorcycle reported stolen in Calgary and several other items, police stated in a release.

Two Medicine Hat men – Peter Pilgram, 39, and Quinton Stewart, 33 – face charges of breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and possession of prohibitied weapons.

Both are scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on March 27.
