The book Somethink for Everyone, by a local author, covers hundreds of subjects in small bites to provide food for thought and discussion.
“This book is for inquisitive minds, those that like to look at things ‘outside the box’. The writings give fresh, possibly controversial, insights into a wide variety of topics, not over several chapters but often in a few paragraphs or lines,” said John Cherwonogrodzky a retired microbiologist who did his PhD thesis on food poisoning and spent part of his career working at CFB Suffield.
The book is designed so that you can read a few short passages at the kitchen table while having a morning coffee or a few moments in bed before a night’s sleep, said Cherwonogrodzky.
Somethink for Everyone includes topics such as bio-threats, ethics and physiology — including our body temperature regulator at the top of our shoulders, the reasons why we yawn.
Cherwonogrodzky also discusses the reasons, most of us are aware of, for developing osteoporosis. He takes it further though discussing what else could be influencing this.
We all have a variety of interests and Somethink for Everyone fleshes out those interests and subjects to provoke thought and discussion, says the author.
The reader is also given an insight into the research he has undertaken over the years as a micro-biologist, providing details of his thinking and approach to research.
Somethink for Everyone is available on Amazon as an eBook for $4.99 U.S. and paperback $15 U.S.
When doing an Internet search Cherwonogrodzky suggests using the search term “Somethink” because if the whole title is used the system auto-corrects to several dozen writings with the phrase “something for everyone.”
