Medicine Hat Boxing Club’s Janick Lacroix punched above his age group Saturday night in Milk River.
The 165-pound boxer stepped up to fight William O’Keefe in the 165-pound open class, and after going toe-to-toe for three explosive rounds, Lacroix earned a unanimous victory.
Fellow Medicine Hat Boxing Club athletes Tristan Deveau and Francis Ang were also in action Saturday. Deveau dropped a 152-pound match to Hayden Moffat and Ang lost to Dustin Lee in the 122-pound class.
The local boxers will be back at it in Billings, Mont. on Dec. 15.
