Mom met Harvey Roberts whom she married, and the couple raised their three children together. In the mid 70s Mom returned to school to take the LPN course, which she passed with honors, then she worked at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for several years in the maternity ward. Mom then moved to Calgary in the late 70s and worked as a LPN for many years at the Grace Hospital. In 1991, Mom and Mike built a home in Radium and resided there for 30 years. In their retirement years, they enjoyed many travels, including going south in winter to avoid the snow. They purchased a park home in Mesa and lived there during the winter months until 2017. Mom and Mike then relocated to Medicine Hat in August 2018 where they lived until her passing.
