Residents of Maple Creek will vote Nov. 14 in a byelection to fill a vacant seat on the Saskatchewan town’s council.

The vote is required after Michelle McKenzie was elected mayor in a byelection in early September, and the then-councillor’s seat was left empty.

Three candidates are one the ballot; Shelley Drever, Jill Roy and Tina Cresswell.

General voting takes place Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Maple Creek Armoury. Advanced voting will happen on Nov. 1, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Southwest Integrated Healthcare facility.

Also on the calendar is Oct. 24 voting for new representatives in even-numbered wards or rural municipalities.

A host of positions in the southwest region of the province near the provincial boundary have been acclaimed.

Updated lists show positions in the RM of Fox Valley will go to Donald Wilk (Div. 2), Michael Bachmier (Div. 4) and Chad Brittner (Div. 6)
