Medicine Hat woman among arrested in Cardston for weapons, drugs

A Medicine Hat woman was arrested by the Cardston RCMP on Oct. 6 after a routine traffic stop uncovered a sawed-off shotgun, replica handgun, drugs and paraphernelia.

Stephanie Rouzes, 34, was arrested along with two Lethbridge women at the intersection of Highways 2 and 5.

They face one charge each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property, as well as two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and numerous charges of failure to comply with a court order.

All three suspects have been released following a bail hearing and will return to Cardston court on Nov. 5.
