It was an exciting day at Gas City CrossFit Saturday as the local gym held its second annual Sun City Shakedown.
Dozens of competitors representing more than a half-dozen gyms took part in the event, pushing themselves to the fitness limit.
The home team of Gary and Brittny Jordan won the prescribed division, edging out fellow Gas City members Adam Andrews and Miranda Nelson. Swift Current’s Greg Dahl and Camilla Olfert were third.
In intermediate, it was Kira Kinahan and Brett Mitchelmore of Lethbridge who came in first, with Calgary’s Amanda Towstego and Nolan McTaggert in second and Red Deer’s Jennica Taylor and Thomas Patterson third.
As for the beginners, Swift Current’s team of Shane Moote and Adele Van De Berg were the champs, followed by Ryan Stewart and Anna Wagman of Medicine Hat (in second) and Gas City’s Debbie and Thomas Sawyer (in third).
