The Hat High Mohawks extended their reign over the Gas City gridiron Friday night at the Methanex Bowl with a commanding 36-7 victory over the Crescent Heights Vikings.
Hat High broke the game open early when Elic Ayomanor scored on a long punt return just less than two minutes into the first quarter.
Tanner Winter tacked on with a short touchdown run later in the quarter, then the Mohawks added a rouge before taking control of the game in the later stages.
The victory puts Hat High at 2-0 on the RFC season after their 54-6 win over the McCoy Colts to open the season. The Vikings slipped to 0-2 with the setback.
Crescent Heights returns to the field at the Methanex Bowl Friday to host the Colts.
The Mohawks also return to action Friday for a matchup in Brooks against the Buffalos.
