A documentary film about a legendary cowboy will be shown Sept. 9 at the Redcliff Public Library from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Anyone is welcome to attend.

The full feature-length documentary unveils the amazing story of Ernest Dufault, also know as Will James. This French-Canadian man became one of the most legendary cowboys of the American West.

Over the space of three decades he went from being a cattle rustler to ex-convict, and the film explores the powerful attraction the West held for those seeking adventure.

The library also has books about Will James.

The Redcliff Public Library received a donation of nine of his books through the Will James Society Book Gifting Program.

A small reception to promote books in the community will run in conjunction with the showing of the documentary, says library manager Tracy Weinrauch.
