United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney will be in Medicine Hat on Sept. 6.

An evening of fine dining at the Beveridge Building is open to anyone, with tickets available for $140 each.

Cypress-Medicine Hat constituency association president Jeff Lanigan says the event is a big party fundraiser for the two local riding associations.

The meal costs $40, and then a tax receipt will be issued for extra $100, he explained.

“It will be a time to interact with Jason and his team,” said Lanigan. “The headliner is going to be Jason.”

The dinner event is an opportunity for people across both constituencies to come and hear from Kenney and present their ideas, said Cypress-Medicine Hat MLA Drew Barnes, who confirmed he and Michaela Glasgo, UCP candidate for Brooks-Medicine Hat, will also be speaking at the dinner.

With an election coming up, within the next nine months, the fundraiser is a necessary part of preparing for that, said Lanigan.

Cocktails will be served from 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online: https://www.unitedconservative.ca/Event?name=medhat_kenney

Barnes says tickets can also be accessed through him directly by calling 403-581-1443.
