Medicine Hat News Neither of them play hockey in their hometown anymore, but both Jordan Mortlock and Alli Pahl are a step closer to representing the Gas City at the Canada Winter Games next year in Red Deer. The two defencemen were among 28 players who made the cut following a Hockey Alberta tryout camp in Camrose July 10-15. They still have another cut to go, however, as Alberta will only take 20 players to the Games Feb. 15-March 3, 2019. Mortlock played bantam AAA with the South East Athletic Club Tigers prior to moving to Kelowna with the Pursuit of Excellence program a couple years ago. Her team won their league championship this spring. Pahl played with the Banff Academy Bears this past season. The provincial team is an under-18 age group. 7
