A boil water order for a regional campground was lifted prior to the Canada Day long weekend, according to the manager of Golden Sheaf Park.

Shirley Burgess told the News on Thursday that the one-day order last week was cleared up and verbally extinguished by Alberta Health Services on Friday, June 29.

That was after follow-up water samples showed no sings of E.Coli that had been detected in a single sample two days earlier.

“It was all good,” she said. “(The problem) was with one little sample and we’ve never had a bad test before.”

She told the News that she’s had numerous calls of inquiry about the park’s water supply since the order was reported in the July 5 edition of the News.

AHS confirmed that the order, dated June 27, was no longer in effect, though the file remains listed as “active” on its website.
