Medicine Hat cyclist dead following collision with SUV

A cyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Cypress County. Redcliff RCMP report that they were called to Township Road 120 and Range Road 62 shortly before 2:30 p.m., after a Buick SUV was travelling westbound behind a cyclist when the collision occurred. The cyclist, a 64- year-old man from Medicine Hat, succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver, a 74-year-old woman from Medicine Hat, was not injured. Police say neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in this collision and the investigation is continuing. No charges have been laid as yet. The identities of the persons involved will not be released. Redcliff RCMP wish to thank Cypress County Fire and EMS for their assistance at this incident. 8-7
