Open house at Methanex

Medicine Hat News Methanex will hold a community day open house on June 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its plant location, 3806 Box Springs Road N.W. The event will commence with a charity barbecue in honour of Praxis Society, followed by an official welcome from the plant manager at noon. There will also be guided tours of the plant given every 30 minutes. Anyone wanting to be part of a guided tour must be wearing closed-toe shoes and be more than 10 years old. Also on the agenda is a demonstration by the company’s emergency response team, a display and presentation about how methanol is made, transported and used, health safety and environment and local social responsibility investments. 6-5
