Wildcats tied in playdown series

Medicine Hat News The all-girls Wildcats atom hockey team hopes for a boost on home ice will get them to the next level of provincial playdowns. On the heels of a B final win in their home tournament Sunday, the Medicine Hat team were in Olds Monday for the first of a two-game provincial series. The teams tied 5-5, meaning Friday’s rematch (7 p.m., Hockey Hounds) will be a winner-takes-all scenario, as opposed to someone needing to win by X number of goals to claim the series. 5-4
