Damir Omerovic racked up five goals for the Wild, but even that wasn’t enough to steal away a victory in the Medicine Hat Men’s Indoor Soccer League Megabowl on Sunday at the Family Leisure Centre.

Vladimir Khazov also scored for the Wild, but the PBR Rangers answered every goal in a 6-6 draw.

Mark Elson scored twice for the Rangers while Hugh Lehr, Jesse Corrigal, Petrosky Roche and Tony Agbonkhese added individual markers. The ‘Megabowl,’ has become a staple in the league ever since the Wild split up to form two teams — resulting in the creation of the PBR Rangers.

The draw leaves the Rangers (3-7-2) three points ahead of the Wild (2-5-2) for fifth place.

The Earls Phantoms maintained their hold on the top of the standings with a 6-2 win over the Rattlers under-17 squad.

Ashley Evans and Matt Wilson both potted a pair for Earls while Cory Holton and Brendan Lutz each added another to cement the victory.

Ibsa Abdurhmah and Sade Lauber scored for the Rattlers, dropping them to 0-9-2.

While the win puts the Phantoms at 8-2-0 on the season, Devo FC stayed right on their heels with a 7-4 win over the Rattlers under-18 squad.

Allan Siwela and Connor Ismond both struck twice for Devo and Davin Picard, Ethan Hudec and Jared Ursulan added individuals in the victory. Nick Staruiala had two for the Rattlers, while Adam Khan and Jack Coen added individual markers.

The win puts Devo FC at 7-0-1 on the season, just two points behind Earls for the top of the standings. The Rattlers under-18 team slipped to 5-4-1 with the setback.

Devo can take over first place on Sunday when they meet up with the Phantoms on the Family Leisure Centre pitch at 7 p.m. Ralston will take on the Wild at 8 p.m.
