Medicine Hat News St. Thomas d’Aquin School will be hosting at public meeting on Monday to discuss the school’s potential closure, and the moving of its French immersion program to St. John Paul II Elementary. The process to commence public discussion on the closure came about as a result of the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education’s vote on the matter at its final public meeting of the year in December. Some parents in the school’s community have criticized the board for not seeking consultation on the potential closure prior to last year’s board elections, and for giving them too short notice of the closure vote in December. The public meeting commences at St. Thomas d’Aquin at 6:30 p.m. 6
