Cubs forwards Quinten Karg and Noah Irvine as well as defenceman Joshua Schafer —all products of Medicine Hat — were chosen to represent their team at the 2017-18 Heritage Junior Hockey League All-Star Game as part of the South Division All-Stars. Irvine leads Medicine Hat with 13 goals and 12 assists in 20 games, while Cubs captain Karg has a pair of goals and 13 assists in the same span. Schafer sits close behind with two goals and 10 helpers from the back end. Five members of the host Okotoks Bisons will join Karg, Irvine and Schafer on the squad, as well as four High River Flyers, three Cochrane Generals and Coaldale Copperheads and two Strathmore Wheatland Kings.
