Peewee Cougars, Roughriders pick up gridiron wins

Medicine Hat News Medicine Hat’s Sterling Trailer Cougars and Grover Dental Roughriders each earned a big victory on the gridiron Wednesday. Matthew Price found the endzone twice and Charles Thompson punched in a third to lead the Cougars to a 20-6 victory over the Sports Connection Tiger-Cats. Dawson Craig registered the lone touchdown for the Tiger-Cats. The Roughriders followed things up with a 19-0 shutout over the Hat Pizza Raiders. Carter McLean, Tye Simms and Clark Campbell each registered touchdowns for the Riders in the win. 7-6
