Emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near the intersection of 16th Street SW at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
A male driver was eastbound on the service road by this intersection, said Const. Darren Holeha of the Medicine Hat Police Service. The driver then exited the service road and entered the highway eastbound.
“He accelerated and he lost traction on the wet road, lost control of the vehicle and then hit the median on the west side,” said Holeha.
The vehicle ended up on its side. He did not sustain any injuries, said Holeha.
“There are charges pending against the driver under the traffic safety act,” said Holeha.
