With the opening of a new school in Medicine Hat comes new photo radar sites.
Dr. Ken Sauer School will welcome students next week and in preparation for the increased vehicle and pedestrian in the newly-minted school/playground zone four new photo radar sites were established this week. The locations are on 11 Avenue N.E. northbound and southbound and Terrace Drive N.E. eastbound and westbound.
The new sites will be advertised for three months on the Medicine Hat Police Service website. Beginning Dec. 1 offenders will receive photo radar warning tickets. Tickets will be issued beginning on Jan. 1, 2018.
Police remind the public the speed limit in all school/playground zones in Medicine Hat is 30 km/h from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
