The Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club has extended its deadline to purchase tickets for Home Lotto 34 to Sept. 10, says committee co-chair Adam Thompson.

“This was due to us applying to an extension for our Home Lotto because the house was not yet fully constructed,” explains Thompson. “And so the new deadline to purchase tickets is Sept. 10. The draw takes place on Sept. 15.”

The money raised in the draw will be used to help local charities and for the greatest public good, says Thompson.

“We get lots of applicants. The first question we ask is the money has to stay local, so is this money for local? Yes or No? It can’t benefit an individual. And then the third thing is does it meet the community’s greatest needs?”

The primary place to purchase tickets for Home Lotto 34 is the home lotto house located at 59 Sierra Road. The home is manned by the Kinsmen from 3-9 p.m. weekdays or 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. Tickets are also available at mhkinsmen.ca.

Thompson says there are also other third-party locations available to pick up tickets, which cost $100 each, three for $250 or eight for $500.

“You can also buy tickets at Sobeys, the two (South Country) Co-ops in town, Richardson’s Jewelry in the mall and Budget Blinds downtown,” says Thompson.
