Medicine Hat News Connaught Golf Club’s Dillon Batsel was a winner Wednesday in the PGA of Alberta’s professional series event in Spruce Grove. Batsel, an assistant pro at Connaught who played college golf in Florida a few years back, fired a second-round 68 at the par-71 Blackhawk Golf Club to finish the 36-hole event at 4-under 138 —four shots better than Pinebrook’s Albert Pistorius. He added a skins hole victory, winning a total of $1,560 for his efforts. The summer-long tour is winding down, with the tour championship set for Sept. 11 and 12 at the Royal Mayfair in Edmonton. 6
