Before they even clinched a spot in the Western Major Baseball League finals last week, a member of the Edmonton Prospects management team said he liked being the road team in a five-game series.

Split the first two and you have a chance to win the series at home was his rationale.

Well, it’s working out again as the Prospects beat Swift Current 6-5 at Re/Max Field Tuesday, now one win away from the franchise’s first-ever title.

A four-run seventh inning was the difference, though Swift made it interesting with three in the ninth before leaving the tying and go-ahead runners on base.

Up 2-1, Edmonton hosts Game 4 tonight, hoping for another turnout like the announced crowd of 2,838 Tuesday.
