Impaired driving charge laid after evening collision

A Medicine Hat man has been charged with impaired driving following a collision on Wednesday. Just after 7:30 p.m. a Volkswagen van was travelling southbound on Carry Drive and attempted to turn onto Cuyler Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole and a parked car. Damage is estimated at $25,000. No injuries were reported. The 49-year-old Hatter is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 0.08. 4-3
