Finlay Bridge closes over damaged lights

Finlay Bridge is closed until further notice due to a traffic incident that damaged the overhead lights on the bridge, says the city.

Power to all lights on Finlay Bridge has been turned off as a precautionary measure. Due to the lack of lighting, driving on the bridge is considered unsafe. Pedestrian traffic can still use the bridge but they and cyclists are advised to use caution in low-light conditions.

The closure will remain in place until crews can return power to the lights.
