Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Speedway will be giving back to the crowd with race days on Saturday and Sunday for fan appreciation weekend. The weekend will feature numerous fan giveaways as well as the first appearance of the season for a pair of racing classes. The Baby Grands and Evolution Mini Cup cars will both be making their Medicine Hat debut this weekend, joined by the regular cast of Renegade trucks, hobby stocks and elite street stocks. The IMCAmodified class will also make its return to the racetrack this weekend. There will plenty up for grabs on the track for both race days. In the hobby stock class, Jason Koska holds a one-point lead over Trevor Stratton while Alf Heib only trails Mitch Stovka in the elite street stocks by 14. In the Renegade truck class, Wayne Seaward holds a 16-point lead over Curtis Bigelow, while Justin McTavish has a more comfortable 35-point cushion over Ross Statham in the IMCA modified class. The action gets going Saturday night with racing at 6:30 p.m.. Sunday’s event will kick off with racing at 2 p.m. 8
