MHC will likely relocate convocation ceremonies due to gym renovations

Medicine Hat News Medicine Hat College is confirming its next two convocation ceremonies will likely not be held in the college’s gym due to renovations set to begin there next year. In a Monday statement released to Medicine Hat News, the college said it was looking at various other venues to host convocation. “Due to the possibility of renovations to parts of campus where convocation is traditionally held, Medicine Hat College is exploring a variety of options for any ceremony that may be disrupted,” the statement reads. “Convocation is a celebration of our students’ accomplishments and we are committed to making the day a positive experience regardless of venue.” The college says a final decision has yet to be made on a possible alternative location. 7-6
