One biker dead after being hit by car

One man is dead following a car accident on South Boundary Road near Desert Blume last night.

The man, who police believe to be from Medicine Hat, was on his bike and travelling eastbound on South Boundary. After being hit he was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Alcohol and speed are not factors in the investigation, says staff sergeant Jason Graham.

At this point, Graham says no charges have been laid against the driver, but the traffic unit is still investigating the crash.
