Elmer Becker of Medicine Hat passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the age of 90 years, beloved husband of the late Frances Becker. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Calvin (Audrey) and Darcy (Donna);his grandson, Matthew; his brother, Les (Bonnie) Becker and his sister, Alice Klaudt. He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Salmey Becker and his wife, Frances on December 12, 2007. A private family interment has taken place. Mr. Irvine Leslie ‘Ivan’ Crouch, beloved husband of Mrs. Yvonne Crouch, passed away peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Monday, October 3, 2016, at the age of 70 years. Along with Yvonne, Ivan leaves to cherish his memory four children, Larry, Sharon, April (Roger) and Shannon (Mark); seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters and his beloved dog, Cocoa. KELLER, ERNA
1928 – 2016
Erna Keller passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2016 in Lacombe, Alberta at the age of 88. She now rests peacefully in the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She grew up in Switzerland and in 1953 moved to Alberta with her husband Ernie. Together they settled in Medicine Hat and it was there they raised their two children and ran their honey business. She was known for her wonderful flowers, garden and for the honey sales from home. She moved to Lacombe with her husband four years ago so they could be closer to their son. She is lovingly remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, Ernie, her daughter Anita (Mark), son Ron (Deanna) and six grandchildren, Matthew (Amy), Adam (Christy), Anna (Jonathon), Bradd (Shevaun), Kathleen (Michael), Angeline, three great grandchildren, as well as three step grandchildren; Chad, Justin (Melissa), and Brittany. A big “Thank You” to Dr. Darnelll and the nursing staff for their compassion and care during the last three weeks of her life.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on Wednesday October 05, 2016 at the Lacombe Pentecostal Church (40331, Range Road 27-1, Lacombe, AB T4L 1K7) with interment to follow at the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.

Hilda Moench passed away at her residence Fairmont Extendicare in Lethbridge on Thursday evening, September 29, 2016, at the age of 98. Hilda was the beloved wife of the late David Moench and leaves to cherish her memory; son, Gerald (Bonnie) Moench of Lethbridge; daughter-in-law Sue Moench of Bermuda; two grandchildren, Shauna (Jeff) Truitt and Christopher Moench; great grandchildren, Cale and Kerrington Truitt; Easton and Everly Moench; sisters-in-law, Frances Bierwagen and Laura Weiss; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonia and William Bierwagen; her husband David in 1978; son, Ken in 2006; great granddaughter, Paige Moench in 2013; brother, William “Bill” Bierwagen and sisters, Melita Anderson, Clarra Hoffman and Pauline Mayberry.
Hilda was born on January 14, 1918 and raised on a farm near the town of Hilda, Alberta. It is here she met and married her husband, and after a few years moved to Bow Island where they resided for many years raising their family. Hilda was active in the Lutheran Church in Bow Island, teaching Sunday and Vacation Bible School. In preparation for retirement, they purchased a home in Medicine Hat. They were long time members of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 am. The funeral service will be held in St. Peter Lutheran Church (758 8th Street SE) on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Pastor Shane Hein officiating.
