1929 ~ SEEFRIED ~ 2016

Harold Herman Seefried, beloved husband of Doris Seefried of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Harold leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Doris; his son, Larry; his daughter, Arlene (Ron Fodness); his granddaughter, Kristine Semrau (Greg) and children Kyra and Kayden; his brothers, Chris, Fred (Nadia), Walter, and Ralph; his sister, Alvina; his sisters-in-law, Vera (Bob) Scott and Lil Anhelher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Beata; his son, Ken; his brother, Jack; his sister, Helen Yanke; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Shirley; his brothers-in-law, Albert Yanke, Jim Stabler and Mike Anhelher. Harold was born on November 21st, 1929, in Medicine Hat and was raised in Manyberries on his family farm until the age of 16. He left the farm to work various jobs and obtain his mechanic papers. Harold married the love of his life, Doris Komosy, on October 14th, 1950. Together they raised their family. Harold worked for the CPR for 10 years and they moved to Doris's family farm south of Nemiskam in 1961. They farmed until 1982 when they semi-retired to Medicine Hat. Harold sold real estate for several years and then retired. Harold and Doris travelled in their motorhome all over the states and BC. Harold belonged to the Elks and the Moose. He loved to fish, curl, golf and hunt. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:25 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Beverley Lynn Debler, beloved wife of Wayne Debler, on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the age of 63 years. She was a loving wife, proud Mom and cherished Mama. 1923 ~ 2016
Mrs. Florence Gardner (nee Schielke) beloved wife of the late Kenneth Gardner, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the age of 93 years. Florence is survived by one sister, Isabel Ehlert; sister-in-law, Marie Schielke; son, Brian (Pam Bouman) of Medicine Hat; daughter, Joy (Randy) Walker of Cranbrook, B.C.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gardner (Aaron Rodatz), Josh Gardner (Nicole) and Christina Walker; four great- grandchildren; Emerson, Beckett, Whitley and Asher. Florence was predeceased by her parents, Dan and Paulina Schielke; husband, Ken (1984); brothers, Oscar (Muriel), Ernest (Louise), Edgar (Verna), Arnold (Betty), Allen (Marie), Elmer (Mildred) and sister, Ester Black (Ernest). Ken and Florence managed and then became the owners Green’s Shoes, a very successful downtown retail store, until the late 90’s. Florence was very proud to show off the latest shoe styles through various fashion shows with other downtown businesses and community groups. Florence loved her grandchildren and she always welcomed an after school visit to Gram’s which was very common. Family was most important to her and she loved hosting Sunday dinners. Florence was a proud woman who was always open, honest, gracious and kind. KUNTZ, Elizabeth (nee Fieger)

Elizabeth (Betty) passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Pius in 1987; sister, Alena and brothers, Peter and Aloysius (AI). Surviving siblings include, Eliza Herle, and Ignatius (Iggie) Fieger. Betty was the last of the Kuntz aunts. She is also survived by her children, Sharon (Dennis), Roderick (Arleen), Patrick (Veronica), Rebecca (Ray); her grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Tamsin (Andy), Roderick (Stephani), Alyssa (Josh), and George; great- grandchildren, Brinley and Thomas, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tomy Manjaly celebrant. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
