It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Illene Rosella Schock on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Carmel Hospice, at the age of 81 years. Mom was predeceased by our dad, William (Bill) Schock, her parents, Emil and Meta Pahl; brother, Stan Pahl; nephew, Byron Pahl; dad’s parents, John and Dorothy Schock and brothers-in-law, Vic Schneidmiller, Carl Schock and George Schock. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Lyle (Jody) Schock; her daughter, Kim (Dean) Pike; her greatest treasures her grandkids, apple of her eye Courtney Pike (Jesse Hildebrand) and her favorite artist Spencer Pike; her in-laws, Lillian Pahl, Irene Schneidmiller, Don and Marlene Schock, Jean Schock, Darlene Schock, John and Florence Schock; her best friend, Irene Klaiber as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and the new friends she made at the Wellington. Mom was an avid gardener, having had a huge garden in Redcliff with many beautiful flowers. She even looked after her plum and apple trees in her yard until C.O.P.D. prevented her from doing so. Mom’s greatest accomplishment was learning to use a mitre saw so she could build her own custom frames for the beautiful needle point and petit point pictures she made. The funeral service will be held in Victory Lutheran Church (2793 Southview Drive SE) on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James C.
