In the early morning hours of February 16th, 2016, Marie Pfeifer (nee Krahn) drew her final breath, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Alan; daughter, Evelyn (Terry Grieger); sons, Myles (Teresa) and Jeff (Jody); and grandchildren, Zach, Brooke, Randy and Kearstin. Dorothy (Duchscherer) Dillman was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan on April 5, 1924 and passed away at Masterpiece Seniors Home in Medicine Hat, Alberta on February 14, 2016 at 91 years of age. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Mike, son Michael, granddaughter Rikki-Sue, son-in-law Werner (George) Huhn and her special friend Ron Wannamaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Betty Ann and her sons Allen (Kathy), Larry (Lois), Ray (Leanne), Richard (Lori) as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on Friday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. Prayers will be offered from the church on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Donna Lee Balfour passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Anne Balfour; sister, Barbara Mills; and husband, Jack Balfour. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Julia Lynch. The family is appreciative of the Cypress View Foundation, the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and the EMT’s for their exceptional care. A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Daisy Doreen Iceton of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the age of 89 years, beloved wife of the late George Iceton. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Robert (Judy) Bailey of Hope, B.C. and Andrew (Anna-Marie) Bailey of Calgary; her son-in-law Everett MacKenzie; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Robert Clack; her first husband Gordon Bailey; her second husband George Iceton; her daughter Joanne MacKenzie on January 7, 2011; one brother Andrew; two sisters Jean nd Ruby and a grandson Michael. Daisy was born on August 13, 1926 in Drumheller and spent most of her life in Alberta. Daisy worked in the Post Office in Oyen and after moving to Medicine Hat worked in Dietary at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Roma Rodrigues passed away peacefully at the Holy Cross Manor on Friday, February 12, 2016. As a talented artist and compassionate teacher, Roma touched many lives with her grace and humility. Described by those who loved her as intelligent, wise, kind, generous and selfless; she nurtured her family while she travelled the world. Roma is lovingly remembered by Ivo, her husband of 63 years; two children, Hyacinth (Michael) and Ivan (Heidi); as well as her devoted grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Genevieve and Luke. She is also survived by her brother, John Fernandes; sister, Martha (Joe) de Lima; sister-in-law, Esther Fernandes; and many nieces and nephews. The family offers sincere thanks to the caring staff of the Holy Cross Manor; the Sheldon M Chumir Wound Clinic; Northwest Home Care Team; as well as the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
