Mildred Alberta Stenger (nee Bell), beloved wife of Joseph "Joe" Stenger of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Mildred also leaves to cherish her memory six sons and their families. Betty Atkinson, beloved wife of Barry Atkinson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Betty also leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Karen (Ron) Lokaisingh and Bev (Kelly) Roach and their families. BRAXTYN CHADWICK HAGEL

August 30, 2015 ~ September 21, 2015

“If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”

This past Monday, another Angel was called home to heaven at the tender age of 22 days. Due on October 14, 2015, this strong and squirmy youngster couldn’t wait to kick his long legs and use his long arms to reach for everything around him. He was born at the Medicine Hat Hospital on August 30, 2015, 6 1/2 weeks early and weighing 4 lbs & 4 oz. The first 17 days following his birth were spent in hospital. On September 16, 2015, Braxtyn was finally able to join his Mom, Dad and Big Brother at home. Although only for a short time, those 5 amazing days at home with his family has left his imprint on their hearts for a lifetime. Braxtyn’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of his parents, Chad and Natasha Hagel; big brother, Ayden Proteau; grandparents, Shirley and Elmer Hagel and Audrey Currie as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members. A Celebration of Braxtyn’s life will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1933 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tyler Rosengren officiating. Private Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. FREIMUTH

Gerald Stanley Freimuth passed away on September 17, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Alice Freimuth of Medicine Hat and two sisters, Linda Toma (Greg) and their children Amanda Peters (Ben), Lindsey, Genaya, and Karen Ebel (Les) and their children Joe (Nikki) and Shawn Odeen (James). He also leaves three great nephews Rayden, Jack and Maximus, as well as three great nieces Keira, Samara and Morghan. He was predeceased by his father Theodore (Ted) Freimuth and one brother Kenneth Darrell in infancy.
Gerald was born on January 9, 1956 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He always liked to work with his hands, so he became a journeyman welder and a journeyman machinist. After being a partner in Buff’s Machining in Brooks for many years, he worked for Rotary Air Force in Wetaskiwin and later in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. Upon returning to Medicine Hat, he drove school busses and coaches for Totem, Traxx, and First Canada.
He was very much an outdoorsman who loved to camp, fish, and hunt, but he also had a love for unique vehicles and flying. All of which he loved to share with family and friends. Gerald enjoyed all that life had to offer and he did it with a passion.
The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender and Pastor Steve Willis officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of Bradley Douglas Holt announces his passing on September 21, 2015.
Brad was born in Calgary on July 23, 1969 to Shirley and Gordon Holt. Along with his parents Brad leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful daughters, Alysha Holt (Devon Carleton) and twins Jade and Janae Holt. Brad was proud of and loved his girls, never leaving them without a hug; and a “See you Best Friend”! ‘Grandpa’ Brad recently had the spark in his eyes polished, with the birth of his granddaughter Kiley Carleton.
Brad was the baby of his family and will be so sadly missed by his sister Karen and brother Brent. Brad will live in the hearts of all his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He loved to tease, had a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh.
Brad was an athlete who excelled at hockey in his youth and loved to hunt and fish with his dad. He had many friends and those that knew him…loved him!
Brad was predeceased by his brother Ken Holt on September 21, 2000 and will be laid to rest alongside him in Calgary.

Florence Kusler of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan passed away on September 22, 2015 at the age of 93. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Creek United Church in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan with Eleanor Bowie officiating.
