BEATCH
Jean W. Beatch of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the age of 86 years, beloved wife of the late Albert Beatch. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Wesley (Theone) Beatch, Beverley (Wayne) Debler, Gerald Beatch, Jimmy Beatch, Brandy (Dean) Ries and Dyana (Randy) Lippert; her grandchildren, David, Tavia, Blaine, Daryl and his son Damon, Brandon, Matthew, Gail (Dwayne) and their children Kenzie and Haylie, and Michael (Alanna) and their children Conner and Kirra; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Matilda and John Weiss; her husband Albert on October 10, 2004, and three brothers. Jean was born in Medicine Hat and raised on her parents farm near Walsh. She spent most of her life in Medicine Hat other than the five years spent in Slave Lake, which she and her family dearly loved. They moved back to Medicine Hat so Jean could be closer to her parents in their later years. From a young age, Jean was always a very hard worker and she instilled this hard work ethic in all of her kids. Jean spent most of her working career in various restaurants as a waitress and cook. In 1984, Jean attended college to further her education. She was always very generous, loved helping people and especially caring for her family. Her favorite things to do included cooking, travelling, going to the drag races with her son Gerald, and just being with her family and two cats. Generosity, hard work, a sense of humor and sharp wit, is what we will remember most. Jean touched many lives and will be dearly missed by everyone, nobody will ever forget her! The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association, Suite 306 – 97 Carry Dr. SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 3M6. He’s received his reward…
This past Monday marked one week since friends gathered with family at Cook’s Chapel to celebrate the life of Wayne Holbrook. Wayne’s family shared their precious memories with all those present providing some insight into the much beloved man that he was. Life Celebrant Getz shared words of comfort and a reassurance that Wayne’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and many friends. Following the service, Wayne was taken to his place of rest at Hillside Cemetery and everyone gathered at Cook’s thereafter where the fellowship and stories continued on.
He was a wonderful man,
Remembered by all,
He has received his reward,
And answered God’s call.

MISS ME – BUT LET ME GO
“When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no tears or gloom filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little – but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love we all shared,
Miss me – but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone
It’s all part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
See family and friends we know.
Take time to heal, tho’ we must part
Miss me – but let me go.â€
