Alexander-Arnold confirms departure from Liverpool amid Real Madrid link

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold said Monday he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Alexander-Arnold, who has spent 20 years at Liverpool, is widely expected to join Real Madrid.

He didn’t mention his next club when announcing his departure from Liverpool on his social media accounts.

“This decision is about experiencing a new challenge, taking myself out of my comfort zone and pushing myself both professionally and personally,” he said. “I’ve given my all every single day I’ve been at this club, and I hope you feel like I’ve given back to you during my time here.”
