Streaky Success: Robertson, Marner among NHL’s stars of November

NEW YORK – Dallas forward Jason Robertson and Toronto winger Mitch Marner were honoured by the NHL on Thursday for their impressive scoring streaks.

Robertson was named the league’s first star of November after leading the league with 15 goals and 26 points in 14 games last month.

The Stars winger had at least a point in every game he played in November and increased his scoring streak to 16 games (17 goals, 12 assists).

Marner also had a point in every game last month and was named third star with six goals and 14 assists in 15 games.

Marner increased his point-scoring streak to 18 games on Wednesday night, tying the club record also shared with Darryl Sittler and Ed Olczyk. He has seven goals and 17 assists over that span.

New Jersey goaltender Vitek Vanacek was named second star. He shared the league lead with eight victories in 10 outings (nine starts), going 8-1-0 with a 2.13 goals-against average and .930 save percentage.

Vegas goaltender Logan Thompson, who also had eight wins in November, was named rookie of the month.
