The Hounds beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3 Friday before topping the Golden Suns 3-1 on Sunday. Owen Maser and Bennet Skappak had a goal and an assist Friday, both Exton McGarvey and Hudson Danroth each added solo markers. Asher Nardari made 35 saves. In Sunday’s win, Cohen McLaren had a pair of goals and Danroth added a tally, while Treyson Donnelly made 32 saves. The U13AA Hounds (9-18-0-0-5) have four regional round-robin games this week, all on the road. They face the Wheatland Warriors and Foothills Bisons on Thursday, then take on the Hurricanes on Friday and the Golden Suns on Saturday. The U13AAA South East Tigers split their weekend, with a 13-6 loss Saturday to the Wheatland Warriors before beating CNHA White 5-2 Sunday. Tyson Nguyen had three goals and two assists for five points Saturday. Shawn Mrowil had two goals and an assist, and Fischer Sprunger had a goal and an assist. Dawson Ressler started in net, making nine saves. Tate Martin worked 20 saves in relief. In Sunday’s win, Sprunger and Callaghan Tjeerdema each had two goals and Rustin Wenzel had a goal and an assist. Martin made 24 saves. The U13AAA SE Tigers (16-11-0-0-3) are off until Mar. 12 when they start their playoffs on the road, facing the Red Deer Chiefs and Lethbridge Hurricanes. They face the Airdrie Jr. Xtreme on Mar. 13. U15 The U15AAA SE Tigers had a pair of home games over the weekend, falling 7-2 Friday to the Okotoks Oilers and 13-1 to the Red Deer Chiefs on Saturday. Carter Perry and Teddy Maser scored on Friday, Hunter Knoll made 33 saves. On Saturday, Diesel Bishop scored the Tigers lone goal and Hunter Munro made 73 saves. Red Deer forward Madden Daneault, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 WHL Draft, had four goals and five assists for a nine-point game. The U15AAA SE Tigers (2-29-0-3-0) did not qualify for the AEHL playoffs. Medicine Hat’s U15AA Hounds played three round-robin playoff games last week. They played twice Thursday, falling 10-1 to the Foothills Bisons and 4-1 to the Okotoks Oilers. The Hounds lost 4-2 Friday to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Easton Brown scored the lone goal against Foothills, Maddox Joyal made 18 saves. Nash Korchinski scored against Okotoks, Colson Neigum made 27 saves. Against Lethbridge, Hudson Schutte and Levi McNaughton each found the back of the net and Neigum made 25 stops. U16 The U16AA Hounds had two games over the weekend, falling 5-2 Friday to the Bow Valley Timberwolves before losing 8-5 Saturday to the Red Deer Chiefs. Everett Ward and Liam Jaspers scored in Friday’s loss, Marshall Turner made 25 saves. Gage Bowal scored twice in Saturday’s loss, Ward and Jaspers each had a goal and an assist and Evander Leupold added a solo marker. Turner made 26 saves. The U16AA Hounds (9-21-0-0-1) are on the road on Saturday to face the CRAA Gold for their last regular season contest. U17 The U17AAA SE Tigers split their weekend. They lost 5-1 Saturday to the Calgary Royals before beating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-1 on Sunday. Dane Friedt scored for the Tigers on Saturday, Griffin Stenger made 30 saves. Illya Khazov had two goals in Sunday’s win, Hayden MacNeil had a goal and an assist and Nixon Davis had a solo tally. Jake Druar made 28 saves. The U17AAA SE Tigers (8-19-0-0-5) are on the road Saturday in Lethbridge before hosting the Calgary Flames on Sunday for a 4:15 p.m. at the Hockey Hounds Arena for the last regular season game. U18 The U18AA Hounds finished their regular season on Saturday. The Hounds lost 6-2 Saturday to the Okotoks Oilers. Mavric Ward had a goal and an assist and Jaxon Benci found the back of the net. Hudson Corbett made 49 saves. The U18AA Hounds (9-21-0-0-4) will host three regional round-robin games this week. They’ll face the Golden Suns on Thursday in a 4 p.m. contest at the Kinplex. On Friday they’ll host the Okotoks Oilers for an 8 a.m. contest before facing the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m., both at the Hounds arena. 34
