SAHA Roundup: SAHA U18 men’s split weekend slate on home ice

The South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 men’s team ended the weekend with a win.

SAHA had two home games over the weekend at the Big Marble Go Centre, losing 4-0 Friday to Edge School before beating the Calgary International Hockey Academy 9-5 on Saturday.

Hunter Zawislak made 23 saves in Friday’s shutout loss.

Carson Ward notched a hat trick in the win Saturday, Sully Kufflick had pair of goals with an assist and both Ty Wasyluk and Kutcher Aquila had a goal and an assist. Both Brennan Finke and Karter Kurpjuweit scored, Kingston Chisholm, Devin Pelletier and Damen Vandenberg each had a pair of assists. Zawislak made 35 saves.

SAHA’s U18 men’s (9-4) next CSSHL games are Nov. 22 and 23 against Edge and the RINK Academy Winnipeg, both at the Big Marble Go Centre.

U15

SAHA’s U15 men’s team won their lone game of the weekend, securing a victory in overtime.

They beat Calgary International 5-4 Saturday at Big Marble on Mark Ma’s overtime winner.

Carter Jarvis and Kyan Vansandt each had a goal and an assist, while both Kovann Chisholm and Max Thielen had a goal. Patrick Curtis made 36 saves.

The U15 men’s (7-6) next CSSHL games are Nov. 22 and 23 on the road against OHA Edmonton.
