Ethan Bowey pitched a complete game en route to the tournament win, striking out three batters across the seven-inning start. Liam Cunningham had two hits with an RBI and a run scored. Ethan Chenard had a hit with an RBI and a run scored, both Ryan Ziebart and Jayden Mook had a hit with an RBI. They opened the weekend with a 21-1 win Friday over the Vauxhall Jr. Spurs. Ryker Miller had three hits, scoring four times with an RBI. Kane Bishop tallied four RBIs with two hits and three runs scored. Chenard had four RBIs with two hits and two runs scored. Ziebart started the game, recording seven strikeouts in four innings of work. Hudson Ma struck out all three batters faced to close out the game. The Knights lost their first game Friday, falling 13-12 to Swift Current. Chenard had four RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Cunningham tallied three RBIs with two hits and a run scored. Ma had two runs scored and two hits. James Cole led the game on the mound with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings pitched. Ma racked up four punch-outs over 1.2 frames. Bishop pitched an inning, recording a strikeout, and Chenard worked the last two outs with two strikeouts. The Knights punched their ticket to the finals with a 13-7 win Saturday over the Lethbridge Lakers U18A. Mook had three RBIs with three hits and two runs scored. Cunningham and Ty Meyer each and two hits with a run scored and an RBI. Meyer started the game, working four innings with two strikeouts. Miller pitched two frames with a strikeout and Chenard finished the game with a strikeout in an inning of work. Monarchs The Medicine Hat U18 Moose Monarchs had four games over the weekend against the Bozeman Bucks. They lost 8-5 to the Bucks on Saturday. Pryce Velichko had two hits with an RBI and a run scored. Asha Frey had a hit with an RBI and both Dylan Amundson and Ayden Andersen had a hit and a run scored. Kaleb Bozek had five strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched. Cole Carlson worked 1.1 innings with a strikeout. The Monarchs lost 15-5 later in the day. Bozek had three RBIs with two hits, Frey had three hits with a run scored and an RBI. Cade Moch started the game with 1.2 innings pitched and two strikeouts. Nixon Kunkel, Parker Hunt and Velichko combined to pitch the last 2.1 innings. Bozeman continued their momentum into Sunday, beating Medicine Hat 9-2. Matt Getz and Moch each had two hits. Frey had a hit and a run scored. Andersen started the game, recording three strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched. Frey recorded the last two outs. They lost the final game of the weekend, falling 10-7 to the Bucks. Medicine Hat led 7-2 through four innings before Bozeman rallied for the weekend sweep. Velichko had three hits with a run scored, Moch had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored. Both Getz and Bozek each had a hit and a run scored, Bozek had two RBIs and Getz tallied one. Majestics The Saamis Rotary Majestics made it to the finals of the Doc Plotsky Tournament in Sherwood Park. The Majestics lost 6-5 to the Webber Wildcats in the finals. They tied the game 5-5 in the seventh before losing in walk-off fashion later in the frame. Kade Velichko had two hits with two RBIs and Gavin Russell had two runs scored with two hits. Velichko started the game on the mound, working 4.2 innings with four strikeouts. Beckett Lybbert had a strikeout in 1.1 innings of work. They opened the weekend with a 6-5 walk-off win Friday over the SJP Jays. Gavin Nardari had two hits with an RBI and a run scored. Jace Berner knocked a home run, adding a hit and a run scored as well. Kane Brost threw all seven innings with three strikeouts. They trounced the U15AA Red Cardinals 16-0 on Saturday. Dylan Harnett tallied three RBIs with two hits and two runs scored. Connor Maier had two hits with two runs scored and an RBI. Berner had two RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Nardari worked all three frames of the game with seven strikeouts. The Majestics earned their spot in the finals with a 10-8 win over the District 8 Knights. Avery Straarup had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored. Russell had two RBIs with two runs scored and a hit. Harnett tallied a solo home run. Kaige Deering started the game, recording two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work. Russell pitched two frames with two strikeouts, and Velichko recorded a strikeout for the final out. 41
