The Medicine Hat sledge hockey teams brought home some medals this weekend.
The Medicine Hat Hounds sledge hockey teams competed in Calgary at the Western Canada Sledge Hockey Championships.
The Hounds junior (children’s) team won the gold medal, beating the team from Kindersley, Sask. 3-2. Medicine Hat went perfect in the tournament with a 4-0 record.
The Hounds intermediate (adult) No. 1 Team won the bronze medal in the C Division with a score of 2-1 over Bruno, Sask.
The Hounds Intermediate No. 2 team lost in a 12-round shootout in a wildcard game against Winnipeg, Manitoba.
