The Medicine Hat Pickleball Club and the City of Medicine Hat hosted the Pickleball Alberta provincial championships this weekend at the South Country Co-op Pickleball courts.
The three-day event hosted behind the Big Marble Go Centre had 428 registered players competing in five divisions – men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles – all split by skill ranking from 3.0 and under, to 4.5 and open.
Below are the local top-three finishers of each division from the weekend.
Men’s Doubles
Gord Hebig and Gordie Reid – Bronze, skill 3.0 and under, 70 and above.
Kieth Edwards and Randy Collins (Burdett) – Silver, skill 3.5, 60 to 69.
Donald Schaufele and Robert Dickson – Gold, skill 3.5-40, 70 and above.
Gordon Masson and Dale Stein – Silver, skill 3.5-40, 70 and above.
Men’s Singles
