The Medicine Hat Tigers play the Regina Pats for the first time in four months tonight in a 7 p.m. matchup at Canalta Centre. With three games before the end of the month they’ll get to know each other plenty. Regina (18-26-3-2) has won its last five games but faces a near-impossible task, 18 points back of a playoff spot with 19 games left in the regular season. Medicine Hat (33-16-2-1) is comfortably third in the Central Division race but still has eyes on the top seed with 16 games to go. After splitting a mini-road trip on the weekend in Brandon and Winnipeg, the Tigers are home for four of their next five games. Medicine Hat’s James Hamblin is second in league scoring with 79 points, while Austin Pratt is the Pats’ leader with 44. 6
