The Medicine Hat Speedway will be giving back to its loyal fans with two action-packed days of racing this weekend, as well as an appearance from elite 4×4 offered competition rig Electric Lettuce. Electric Lettuce and driver Rob Inglis have been featured in Four Wheel magazine and won second place on the Top Truck Challenge TV series in 2016, according to a release from the Speedway. Inglis and Electric Lettuce will be featured during Saturday’s intermission and the vehicle will be available for kids to climb into for photographs, which will be taken and printed by Inglis Media. The release added the Speedway will be partnering with South Country Co-Op and the Ronald McDonald House to raise awareness and proceeds through concession burger and hot dog sales, and will also be supporting community member Bob Will – who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer. The weekend will feature hobby stock, busybee, rumblebee, relay/SJ trucking baby grands, Evolution Cup cars and elite street stock racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday, followed by a 5:45 p.m. autograph session and green flag racing at 6:30. The gates open up at 1 p.m. for Sunday’s action, with green flag racing at 2 p.m. 6
