One bad inning sunk the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs Tuesday. At home to the Lethbridge Elks, the Monarchs trailed 2-1 entering the fourth inning at Athletic Park. But a six-run Elks outburst changed things dramatically. A passed ball and a two-run single from Brendan Schulz capped the top of the fourth, ending Heyden Harrison’s night on the mound for the Monarchs. Harrison had doubled in a run in the second inning to help his own cause, but that was one of only four Hat hits in the seven-inning decision. Joel Herron had another RBI single off winning pitcher Levi Abbott, who went six innings for the Elks. Abbott went 4-for-5 with a double, driving in two and scoring two runs. Schulz was 3-for-3 with 4 RBI. The teams meet up again Friday in Lethbridge. 7
