The Medicine Hat Tigers have shored up a piece of the deal that sent Henrik Rybinski to Seattle in January. Aidan Brook signed a WHL player agreement with the Tigers, according to a press release Monday. Brook, a Thunderbirds fourth-round draft pick from 2018, was part of the deal that included a 2020 draft pick heading to the Gas City in exchange for 17-year-old forward Rybinski. In 36 league games with Rink Hockey Academy this past season, Brook had a goal and 25 assists. He also captained Manitoba at the Canada Winter Games. “Aidan is a very reliable defenceman that can play in all situations,” said Tigers director of player personnel Bobby Fox in the release. “He has a strong presence defensively. He has a great stick, will block shots and plays tough on guys in front. Aidan shows good vision in transition and at the offensive blue line.” 5
